Metalsmithing and Ironwork

Welcome to the Desert Awareness Park in Cave Creek Arizona.
 
 
 
I am completely fascinated with the ironwork gated entrance...
 
 
The owl is my favorite.
 
 
And then of course, that darn rabbit,
 
 
sneaking in between the rails.
 
 
 
- Just like the one at home that is always getting into my garden.

    I love the touch of whimsy with the animals. At first glance I thought the birds in the top photo were real! Wild rabbits are always hopping through my yard. But since I do not grow fruits or veggies they are cute!

    iron work fascinates me, as does rust. i really enjoyed these photos! those darn bunnies are so cute until they get into the veggie garden that takes so much effort to grow!

    I think the bunny is my favorite. I wonder if I got a large metal bunny and put it in my garden, would it scare away the little bunnies? Its a hopeful thought anyway!
